Holmer Green First School and Pre-School is proud to be involved with Amani UK who set up links between schools in the UK and Kenya. Our school has been linked with Nyatindo School for many years, and the partnership has been a greatly enriching experience for our children.

Through this programme, our children and staff have corresponded with the classes at Nyatindo School and exchanged experiences about their local lives and cultures. This has provided a wonderful opportunity for our school community to learn about a different part of the world and to develop a better understanding of global issues. We have particularly enjoyed learning about the children at Nyatindo and sharing our own stories and experiences.

Over the years, our school has also participated in several fundraising initiatives to support Nyatindo School. We are proud to have worked with Amani UK to purchase a cow and provide extra desks for the students in need. These initiatives have provided our students with valuable lessons about the importance of giving back and making a positive impact in the world.

This is a wonderful opportunity to broaden our children’s horizons and foster a deeper understanding of global issues. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Nyatindo School and Amani UK in the years to come.
