We have a smart but comfortable school uniform and have deliberately chosen items that are easy to wash as well as put on and off. We are also mindful of the cost of uniform, which is why many items can be purchased from a wide range of retailers. All of the items below marked with an asterisk * are available for purchase via PMG School Wear, all other items can be purchased from a retailer of your choice. All items of school uniform and equipment must be clearly named. A school uniform and P.E kit, consisting of the items below, is compulsory. 

Girls

• Grey skirt, trousers or pinafore, we recommend skirts or trousers that have simple elasticated waistbands (i.e. with no hook-and-eye/button/zip fastening), as most children tend to find these easier to put on and take off.
• White polo shirt (without a school logo).
• Royal blue sweatshirt* with school logo or royal blue cardigan* with school logo.
• Summer dress in royal blue stripe or check.
• Grey tights or white socks.

Boys

• Grey trousers or shorts, we recommend that these should have simple elasticated waistbands (i.e. with no hook-and-eye/zip-fly fastening), as most children tend to find these easier to put on and take off.
• White polo shirt (without a school logo).
• Royal blue sweatshirt* with school logo or royal blue cardigan* with school logo.
• Grey or black socks.

PE kit

• Black football shorts. 
• Black jogging bottoms. 
• T-shirt in your child's House colour with school logo*.
• A pair of trainers.
• PE bag with the Holmer Green First School logo* - please write your child’s name on their bag in permanent marker, for ease of identification by the child.

Other

• Water bottle - clearly marked with the child’s name. Please note that you should not fill this bottle with any drink other than water.
• Book bag* with the school logo, labelled with your child's name. 

Footwear

• School shoes – black. No open-toed sandals.
• Wellies - Reception children need a pair of wellington boots in school for the whole year, clipped together with a named peg.

Coat

• Any warm waterproof coat.

Hair

• Shoulder length hair must be tied back at all times with a simple hair band.
• No hair gel or extreme hair styles are allowed.

Jewellery

Children are not allowed to wear watches or jewellery. The exception is if a child has pierced ears, in which case plain studs may be worn, providing that the child is capable of removing these for PE.

Please note, children must not wear nail varnish to school.
